Gigabyte has demonstrated a PCI Express based ATi R423 cardrunning at their booth over at Computex. Interestingly, it is an R423 XT cardrunning at a core clock of 500Mhz and memory clock of 1120Mhz. There won't beany Pro version of the R423 card like the current X800 Pro that contains 12pipelines therefore all R423 cards will be 16 pipes based; R423 XT and R423 XTPlatinum (520Mhz core). There is not a need for an extra power connector (6pins) to be plugged into the card in order to run it but of course it is stillrecommended to do so. Gigabyte mentioned that all their R423 cards will comewith Dual DVI instead of one.
