Details of a cheap yet respectably specd up 8-inch tablet from Digilink have surfaced online, with the folks over at Netbook news providing a video preview for us ahead of launch.
The Android 4.0 ICS running tablet with a presumed model name of DI-807H runs a 1.2GHz Boxchip A10 processor (w/ Mali 400 GPU), 512MB RAM, 4GB NAND flash storage, IPS capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 768 and a microSD card slot accepting up to 32GB cards.
The tablet has a thickness of 11.9mm and build quality is apparently very impressive given its presumed price point. It also boasts a pretty beefy 5600mA battery. Other features include Mini USB and Mini HDMI connectivity, a 0.3MP front facing and 2MP rear facing camera, audio jack and an accelerometer. There is no 3G or Bluetooth connectivity built-in, but it does of course have WiFi.
Based on the confirmed cost of US $93 each when purchasing 500 units, the retail price is expected to come in at somewhere around US $120.
